Celebrating Jenna Burlington VT Event

September 23, 2011 Burlington Vermont

On Friday September 23, 2011 Jenna’s friends in the Burlington Vermont area held their first annual event to celebrate the wonderful life of Jenna. The event was held at the Firehouse Gallery of the Burlington Arts Center on Church Street.  Over 100 friends celebrated and raised money on behalf of Jenna’s foundation: The One Angel Foundation.

Friends enjoyed food, drink and the music of The Cheddar Band, a local funk band. Hundreds of photos highlighting and celebrating Jenna’s life especially during her time at St Michael’s was featured every where.

One of Jenna’s aunts who attended the event put it perfectly

As we moved thru the rooms, you noticed that there was a very loving warm vibe permeating the crowd - as much as an event like this can bring on tremendous sadness for it's taking place to begin with - this was a true celebration of a life lived.  Organized by some of her dearest friends that she made while a student at St. Michael's, this was a gathering of people who both knew Jenna - but also knew of her.  What touched me was that the core group of girls, who sponsored the event, were in turn so touched by their friends who came, understanding how much of a positive and caring person Jenna was just by word of mouth.  It moved all of us who came up from MA to see how her friends continue to embrace her still.”

A wonderful tribute to a beautiful girl

WORLD HIKE A MOUNTAIN OCTOBER 15TH ANNOUNCED

One Angel Foundation is proud to announce its First Annual World-Wide “Hike a Mountain Day” Saturday October 15, 2011. One Angel Foundation was formed by family and friends of Jenna Agule who died this past January.

One Angel Foundation’s World-Wide “Hike a Mountain Day” is inspired by Jenna’s love of the outdoors. She was an avid outdoorsman with a love of hiking, biking, running and skiing. She truly loved being one with nature. We believe that by combining something that she loved to do with a fundraiser to help those who she cared about is a true testament to her spirit and life.

As Jenna had friends around the world this event is set world wide. Our home mountain will be Wachusett Mountain in Princeton, Massachusetts. Those friends and family who can not make it to Wachusett can still participate by doing a hike near them. Please go to the One Angel Foundation’s web site (www.oneangelfoundation.org) and register today.

Monies raised by this event will go benefit two causes near and dear to Jenna: the first is to help communities such as Julticalpa Honduras, where Jenna spent part of two summers at stabilize their housing needs bring safe drinking water to the community and help support their schools.
